Supplies used:

Sennelier Oil Pastel Sticks
Sennelier Fixative Spray
Insanely Easy Christmas Star Drawing That Will Leave You in a Merry Mood
Step One
Sketch your camel and horizon line onto your wood canvas panel.
It was my first time drawing a camel so I practiced on a separate piece of paper before drawing onto the wood. If this is your first time as well I left the basic shapes for you to look at.
If you make your lines too dark, like me, take an eraser to lighten them before putting the oil pastel on.
I tried out the kneaded eraser and a normal eraser. Both of them worked, but I thought that the normal eraser was easier to use. It took the pencil off just enough to be really light, but not too much that I couldn’t see it.

Step Two
Apply the Sennelier oil pastel onto your wood canvas.
You can do any color that you want or mix and match them. I chose to keep it simple using white.
Once you have a good amount of paint on your nativity at night painting you can leave it how it is or gently smooth out the oil pastel. With the soft oil pastels, you can get chunks of paint that I like to smooth out for a more even look.
Step Three
Spray a few coats of the Sennelier fixative spray to set your oil pastel art.
You are done with your super simple and elegant oil pastel art for beginners!
